Learning Experience Designer based in Kansas City.
Intro
Designing meaningful learning experiences for transformation and liberation.
My experience in learning design extends across the nonprofit sector from outreach organizations to school settings, from preschool through adult learners and from classroom instruction to comprehensive program design. In 2012, I was one of 50 educators selected worldwide to attend the Google Innovator Academy in London. I went on to present breakout sessions and keynote at Google Summits across the nation; all with the goal of driving transformation in education through innovative projects and advocacy opportunities. In Kansas City, I’ve been a part of several education innovation initiatives working to widen the funnel for transformative collisions among educators and other professionals in the local community. I consult on instructional programming and helped push the design of an XQ Super School to the final round of competition.
I hold a certificate in Information Design and Strategy from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, Missouri Teaching Certificate, and eMINTS (Enhancing Missouri's Integrated Network of Teaching Strategies) certification.
Technical skills include Canvas; Adobe Captivate, Premiere, and Audition; and Rise 360.
